The Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary is open each week unless it is a major holiday. (See the list of holidays to the right.)
- Days open: Thursday through Sunday
- Fall/Winter Hours of Operation
(October 1 through April 30): 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Last admission is at 3:30 p.m.; grounds open until 4 p.m.
- Spring/Summer Hours of Operation
(May 1 through September 30): 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Last admission is at 2:30 p.m.; grounds open until 3 p.m.

Directions from Hwy 50
- Exit at Folsom Blvd;
- Turn left at the off ramp intersection onto Folsom Blvd.. Follow for 3 miles;
- Turn right at the traffic light onto Natoma Street. Follow for about 1 mile;
- Turn left at the traffic light onto Stafford Street; and
- Turn right into the Zoo entrance past the library.
Directions from I-80
- Exit at Eureka Blvd. heading East. Follow for 1 mile;
- Turn Left onto Douglas Blvd. Follow for 3 miles;
- Turn Right onto Folsom-Auburn Road. Follow for about 4 miles;
- Continue over Folsom Bridge.
- Turn Left at the traffic light onto Natoma Street. Follow for about 1 mile;
- Turn Left at the traffic light onto Stafford Street; and
- Turn right into the Zoo entrance past the library.
