Yes, it is immediately active if you joined on-line. Simply download the eMembership Card app to your smartphone and download your card immediately! When you arrive at the Ticket Booth, simply show your membership card and ID and you're in!
The public or guests will still need to purchase tickets online or at the gate.
We have an assortment of memberships to meet visitor’s needs. The membership you choose should be based on two key factors. First how many Adults are in your household and secondly, will you be bringing children or grandchildren with you. Our Family and Family Plus memberships provide entrance for 2 or 3 named individuals with children (age 2 to 12; under 2 are free). Our Individual (age 13 to 64) and Senior (age 65 and up) membership levels provide entrance for a single named individual.
We do not offer memberships to daycare centers and school classes. An option would be to arrange for a Docent-guided tour to get the most from your classroom visit. Contact the docents at zoodocents@folsom.ca.us . Or you can visit on your own by purchasing tickets online in advance or at the gate.
Membership is tax deductible less the fair market value of benefits received, whether used or not. The fair market value of benefits received is not substantial for our memberships.
All of our memberships are valid one year from the month of processing. For example, if your membership is processed on March 16, 2023, it will be valid until March 31, 2024. On-line memberships are processed immediately.
Please allow up to 30 days for membership card processing if you requested a hard copy of your card. If you joined online, your membership is available immediately and you can access your card through the mobile app.
All members over 12 years old will need to show their digital or hard copy membership card at the Ticket Booth. Download the mobile app with the information that was sent to you or request a hard copy of your membership card. Allow up to 30 days for processing a hard copy of the card.
Unfortunately No. As a City of Folsom facility, the revenue collected at the Zoo ticket booth cannot be comingled with the Friends (non-profit) organization and applied to a membership. We apologize for this inconvenience. Memberships must be purchased in advance of paying gate admission fees and can be done so on-line the same day.
